LIV Golf Invitational Series still has three events in its regular reason. This week’s stop at Rich Harvest Farms near Chicago is the last. Play will begin Friday, September 16.
After events in Thailand (Oct. 9-9) and Saudi Arabia, the circuit supported by the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (Oct. 14-16) will travel to Miami for the Team Series Championship at Trump National Doral (Oct. 27-30).
Golf Magazine’s Sean Zak reported Tuesday that redacted court documents showed original plans for Team Championship. This included a competition for closest-to the pin to determine seeding.
The document states that the Team whose shot was closest to the target by its Team Captain will be the first seed. Each Team will then be seeded according to their proximity to the target by the other Team Captain.”
Are you unsure if the league should keep it or if it was the right decision to get rid of them?
