Another Cameron has been added to the LIV Golf Series lineup.
According to The Times UK, Cameron Young will now join the breakaway league, just a day after Cam Smith was named the 2022 Champion Golfer Of The Year.
Smith said that he had “no comment” about the report during Tuesday’s press conference, ahead of this week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship. This is the first leg in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. In the FEC standings, Scottie Scheffler trails Smith.
Young is the favourite to win the 2022 PGA Tour rookie of the year award. He has collected seven top-three finishes at 22 events, including a runner up to Smith at the 150th Open Championship. This was his fourth of five runnerups this season.
The 25-year old won two times during his Korn Ferry Tour career, but has yet to win on the PGA Tour. He is ranked 17th on the Official World Golf Ranking.
Saudi Arabia is being accused of a wide range of human rights violations, including torture, forced disappearances, politically motivated killings, and inhumane treatment for prisoners. Saudi royals and the Saudi government were also accused of being involved in Jamal Khashoggi’s murder, a Washington Post columnist and journalist from Saudi Arabia.
