Ryan Goble and Will Zalatoris have been working together for many years. They have a remarkable resume on the PGA Tour, with everything except a win.
The pair eventually split after Friday’s second round at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Club in Greensboro (North Carolina).
Zalatoris hit two eagles in the final stretch to make it through after his chances seemed slim. He was standing on the 13th green box, 2 over for the tournament. The 25-year old earned weekend tee times thanks to a hole at 137 yards and a putt of 61 feet.
According to The Caddie Network, Zalatoris will be using a stand-in during the weekend. His looper for next week’s FedEx Cup playoffs is not yet known.
Zalatoris is a winner of eight top-10 finishes in 21 starts this season. He also has three runners-up (Farmers Insurance Open and PGA Championship). During his 2021-22 campaign, he has made more than $6.6million on the course.
