Adam Hadwin, a former winner of the PGA Tour, ran onto the green to celebrate and shower Nick Taylor with champagne after he made a 72 putt bomb on his fourth playoff hole.
Winnipeg's native Hadwin had just won his first national open since Pat Fletcher, in 1954. A security guard, who was doing his job, did not recognize Hadwin at the time and tackled him.
I don't even know the name of this security guard, but I can guess that he was a helluva enforcer in his youth when he played hockey around Toronto. He may have played football, but given his strong form.
