The U.S. The U.S. Golf Association was established on December 22, 1894. In 1895, the U.S. Amateur Championship debuted. It is the oldest USGA championship.
The U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Amateur were not far behind.
The U.S. has a distinguished list of winners. The distinguished list of winners in the U.S. Amateur includes Bobby Jones and Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, as well as Tiger Woods and Tiger Woods.
Jones won the U.S. Am in Merion in 1930 to complete his Grand Slam. He was awarded the title five more times. Woods was the first person to win three consecutive titles in 1996.
