Anna Davis was the youngest player to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April.
Her tournament was canceled at Champions Retreat’s opening hole. California’s teen lifted her ball twice out of the rough and was penalized with four strokes. She missed the cut. Davis described it as “a learning experience.”
Davis said, “I asked my scorer whether we were doing this like everywhere,” but he didn’t know. He said that he knew, so it’s all good.
