The 2022 Hero World Challenge was less exciting Monday after tournament-host Tiger Woods pulled out due to plantar fasciitis. This was Woods’ first appearance on a national television golf course since the 150th Open Championship. A difficult Thursday resulted in a missed weekend.
Woods plans to continue playing in the Match VII as well as the PNC Championship, despite the injury.
However, all is not lost as many of the best golfers in the world are playing in Albany, The Bahamas. This includes Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm, as well as Justin Thomas. Viktor Hovland is also on the field, having won the 2021 championship.
