Golf enthusiasts will be able to get a piece of golf’s history at the 51st Golf Heritage Society national convention in September.
The Wyndham Indianapolis West hotel is home to the group, which celebrates the history of golf. The event will culminate with a trade fair on Saturday, September 24, in the hotel’s grand ballroom. The public is invited to attend.
Golf Heritage Society members can play in the area, and attend seminars about Pete Dye and how to preserve classic clubs. According to the GHS, there will be a trade show for golf memorabilia that “will feature some of the most interesting golf collectibles in the world.”
Chris Wirthwein is the keynote speaker at this year’s banquet. He is an author and Crooked stick Golf Club historian.
Dr. Bern Bernacki, President of the Society, stated that “The GHS will host an unforgettable national convention in Indianapolis with a variety of activities and programs for attendees to enjoy.”
GHS was founded in 1970 and is a worldwide nonprofit organization that preserves and honors the history of golf. For more information, visit golfheritage.org
