A golf movie list is not complete without the bad ones. One of the worst golf movies is Who’s Your Caddy? This rip-off follows rap mogul Big Boi as he tries to join a conservative country club. He even brings along his entourage. The movie looks like a Caddyshack knock-off. But, it’s funny nonetheless. Nevertheless, it’s a good watch if you have a taste for sarcasm.
From the Rough
Listed among golf movies, From the Rough is one of the more unique offerings. Based on the true story of Catana Starks, the first African-American woman to coach a men’s college golf team, this comedy follows a talented but undisciplined group of golfers as they learn how to succeed in this male-dominated sport. The film stars Taraji P. Henson as Starks, a former swim coach who is offered the chance to take over her school’s golf team.

Another film on the list is the romantic comedy “Tin Cup”. The film stars Kevin Costner as the hapless Roy McAvoy, who runs a ramshackle driving range in Texas. He hangs out with his friends Cheech Marin and Rene Russo, and his rival, David Simms. In the movie, McAvoy meets Dr. Molly Griswold, who is dating PGA superstar David Simms. While on the golf course, Roy McAvoy is inspired by her and tries to win the U.S. Open while also wooing Simms’ girlfriend.
